How to trade in Forex
- For example you open an account and deposit 1,000 US Dollars.
No minimum deposit requirement.
- USD / JPY rate is 124.97 / 125.00. You decide to buy 100,000 USD and sell 12,500,000 JPY (i.e. 1 lot1 lot = 100,000 units of base currency (the first currency in the currency pair)).
Minimum contract size is now 0.01 of a lot (micro forex).
- To fund this position you need 1,000 USD.
- USD / JPY moves up by 103 pipsPip is the numerical value of the last, or right-most, digit of a quote (0.01 in our example)..
