Sierra Nevada Information
Sierra Nevada is the favorite Spanish destination for skiers around the world. It's located in the Granada province in Andalucia (map of Sierra Nevada) and consists of a mountain range in which 2 of its peaks stand out: Veleta (almost 3,400 meters) and Mulhacen (3,478 meters), the highest in the entire peninsula.
During winter, Sierra Nevada offers a wide variety of activities in the snow, as well as equipment rental and instructor hire. The area is full of hotels and apartments for lodging.
In the summer other kinds of activities are available, such as hiking, climbing, bicycle routes, etc.
