I stumbled upon Banff Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies yesterday.
I was attracted by the old fashioned looks of the resort.
It felt solid, with deep roots, traditional in a way.
You can still have a taste of luxury if you stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, an imposing hotel.
The city was founded around its hot springs which would have been a great way to cure my recent cold which thankfully is now abating.
Even in the winter, the snow does not stop some residents from riding their bikes around town.
I like the element of timeliness that emanates from Banff, feels restful.
